Flying in a Legend – Labor Day Weekend 2015
From the airfields of Britian to the beaches of Normandy to Tokyo Bay, Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the End of WWII with the planes that helped win the war.

These historic aircraft will be at your disposal for the ultimate flight experience:

Adults: $15 ; seniors 65 and older/Veterans with ID: $10; children: 4-12: $6 children under 4 are free with an adult of course.
The aircraft in the museum will offer living history flight experiences in their WACO bi-plane ($280 per person), North American AT-6 WWII trainer ($350 per person) and on Saturday, September 5 the C-47 will be flying D-Day flight experiences with WWII re-enactors transporting you back to the day before Normandy( $320 per person). Reduced pricing for museum members.
The “Honor Flight” WWII vets who have been specifically chosen thru a raffle prior to this week-end will take a flight in the American Airpower C-47 courtesy of the Museum.
WWII C-47 from Geneseo NY and the Grumman TBM Avenger torpedo bomber from the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum at Reading, Pa.
The Mid-Atlantic air Museum’s Avenger will complement the Museum’s Grumman TBM Avenger signed by President George H.W. Bush who, as a Navy carrier pilot, flew this airplane in combat and was shot down twice in the Pacific. Both will offer demonstration flights.
The Geneseo C-47 will join the Museum’s C-47 in creating a realistic picture of what preparations for D-Day may have looked like.

The Northport Jazz Band will get visitors up and dancing from 1:00PM-5:00PM Sunday September 6.
