First Annual American Airpower Museum Wings and Things Flea Market Saturday Sept. 21st!

First Annual American Airpower Museum Wings and Things Flea Market Saturday Sept. 21st!

9/21/2024 – UPDATE TO ADMISSION FOR TODAY’S FLEA MARKET EVENT:
Museum Sponsor Cockpit USA has graciously stepped up to help the museum and our local vendors and this now allows us to reduce admission to $5 per person for the event 11am-3pm. We would like to make this as successful as possible for our local vendors. This event is a museum fundraiser so any gracious donations above the $5 dollar admission fee will be truly appreciated as without your support we couldn’t “keep ’em flying!”

We hope to see as many of you throughout the day! Thanks for supporting the American Airpower Museum!

American Airpower Museum, Long Island’s only flying military aviation museum, will hold its FIRST EVER Annual Flight Line Flea Market, Saturday, September 21, 2024, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Republic Airport, Hangar 3, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale.

Join us on the 21st as we transform our flight line into a unique Flea Market experience.  We will be hosting a host of vendors from near and far as they offer their wares of vintage antiques, books, collectables, clothing, toys, and more!  There’s no telling what types of treasures you may find at the AAM Flea Market!  Enjoy your shopping experience with our historic hangar and aircraft backdrop, period music classics throughout our hangar, food and drink for purchase including delicious hot dogs, potato knishes and soda, served hot from one of our favorite local food trucks parked outside Hangar 3.

Your admission to visit to our Flea Market is the normal daily admission which includes entrance to the museum where you can see our squadron of legendary aircraft both operational and static on display, including the North American B-25 Mitchell Bomber, Douglas C-47 Skytrain, Grumman TBM-3E Avenger, Republic F-105D Thunderchief, Fairchild/Republic A-10A “Warthog,” and many more.  While visiting you can also purchase and schedule a ride in one of our two North American T-6 Texans, or on our popular open-cockpit Red WACO Biplane!

We’ve pulled out all the stops to make this the greatest fundraising event ever at AAM.  Your attendance will support local vendors and help our unique aviation museum continue its mission to preserve and teach future generations about Long Island’s significant role in our nation’s aviation history, plus honoring the men and women past and present, who have defended freedom around the world.  Our motto of “Keep ‘Em Flying!” is all about keeping our special collection airworthy and on display to the public!
